المستخلص

The interior space goes beyond its connection to the three basic dimensions, length, width, and height. which can easily be perceived by our eyes, and is also linked to the dimension of time. When the user explores the interior space, they experience a unit of time. Therefore, designers can indeed create a multisensory experience. It does not remain a fixed spatial experience, but rather a sensation that grows or moves over time. The research issue is framed by addressing the concept of the fourth dimension (time), where the perceptual diversity of interior architecture is a result of the user's movement through time. This makes the user and those coexisting in the space more aware and interactive with it, so their role does not stop at mere observation; they become active participants, influencing and being influenced by the space, while also perceiving actual moving parts that exchange roles with the surrounding environment. Thus, the aim of the research is to focus on the impact of the fourth dimension on the user’s perception and movement within the interior space, and to identify the sensory influences of time and space on the user in this environment. The research methodology followed is a descriptive-analytical approach, reviewing certain designs that incorporate the concept of time as the fourth dimension in the design process. In conclusion, the research presents several findings, including that the fourth dimension, time, differs clearly from the three spatial dimensions. It gives the interior space material and formative values related to its aesthetic aspects, while also providing symbolic values for the recipient, related to the psychological reactions generated within them.
