المستخلص

There is no doubt that the human form is one of the important elements throughout the history of art and is still the focus of artists' attention, which has increased significantly in the last fifty years, not only as a natural material entity that represents a formative element, but also as a subject of study and analysis from multiple angles. In addition to the aesthetic values of the human form, the researcher addressed the decorative unit, as it is an element that creates beauty in the artwork, so that the artwork rises to the stage of maturity, both outwardly and inwardly. Then the researcher moves to the types of decorative units and their aesthetics in each civilization, then to the human form and the difference in its treatment in European and Japanese art, and refers to an artistic model for each of them, as the human form represents a basic axis in art, and has witnessed increasing interest in recent decades. This interest is not limited to the purely formative aspect, but extends to in-depth theoretical analysis. This study sheds light on the importance of the decorative unit in adding beauty to artworks, and compares the treatment of the human form in European and Japanese art. The researcher also provides a practical analysis of her artistic experience, and finally the researcher addresses her own practical experience and theorizes it.
